Should I be ashamed?

I love reading. If I could, I think I would spend all of my waking and sleep time with a book (if there were that many good ones out there). When I was 21 my mom told me that I had to read Harry Potter she said it was the best series. I reluctantly decided to read it and found to my surprise that it was awesome. I quickly devoured all the harry potter that I could get my hands on. after that I figured that I would just read anything my mom or anyone suggested.
One day(I was in Iraq) Tobi suggested that I read a book she had got from Rachelle. She wasn't very forthcoming with allot of details about the book so I agreed to read it. When twilight came I read and and quickly found myself addicted. So like any other series I had to read it all. So now I find myself addicted to a romance series. But do dare come out to my fellow comrades in arms? will I be ostracized for the rest of my army career? The real question is can I make it until Breaking Dawn comes out.....

Yes, REAL guys do read Twilight. You'll have to read HOST until your fix arrives in August.

Ladies this is one way in which my husband is superior. He loves the Twilight series as much as I do. He may not really care how "fine" Edward is. Frankly I would be worried if he did.

You rock Hubby mine!

My sweet Hubby read Twilight at my suggestion. For the first three hundred pages he hated how whiny and emotional Bella was. He decided to quit reading it before he was finished. I begged him to read on, because as you know the really suspenseful part is in the end of that one - the "guy" stuff, with fighting and other violence that we girls are okay with reading because we're still on a high from all the 'lovey dovey'.

He did finish the book. He did NOT love it. He will NOT read New Moon (shame, it's my fave).

I do give him props for trying though. You are a stud of ultimate proportions Joel.

I don't think of the Twilight series as romance. Whenever you have that quantity of blood, death by dismemberment, psychotic episodes with the main characters, and fantasy creatures running all over a book; romance is the last thing on my list to call it. On the other hand, there are some really drooly parts too, and if you can deal with the smell of wet dog.. I'd say Jacob Black is a hottie. Probably Bella is a hottie too, just not my "brand" of hottie. Read on closet Wilkinson, read on.

It is not a romance novel until someone gets down and dirty. Since that hasn't happened yet I think it's safe to tell your guy friends that it's a science fiction book.
You could always get them addicted to the books, spread the disease. Tell them how much women love it when a man enjoys that kind of emotional drivel. And if they don't like it, shoot em.

I have not read the books and I don't claim that there is no chance of me ever reading them. The door is always open because even though it's a romance you're still dealing with vampires and that's just tight!

This all started when Rachelle read it for her book club, and then Jayson the total He-man (anyone that can co-produce 5 babies at once is quite a man) told me I just had to read those books. I was hooked right off the bat, and passed the news to Tobi, and all my sisters. Go Jacob. Go Joel. I'm betting that there is a four star General out there reading them in his closet as well.

Joel, do you have a booklight to be reading in that closet? You wouldn't want to be ruining your PRK!
Pat has read the three books, and he won't like them until bella is turned and goes psycho, but he indulges me and subjects himself to hours of discussions on how awesome the cullens are!

My husband might have given them a whirl but for the amount of estrogen swirling about them. He's hesitant to jump into blogging because he thinks it's like (in his words) "this whole Oprah support group thing you've got going on." He's plenty secure in his manliness, but he's kinda afraid of women - especially in packs. I chalk that up to too many sisters (in pageants).
